Best device to make Tv smart : Mi TV Box4 or Amazon Firestick

So the Mi TV Box 4 looks like an incredible deal, because for just 3,500 Rs. you can have a device that can convert a regular 4K TV into a 4K Smart TV, and even if you have a Smart TV, like a Mi TV 4, it may not support all the features that this box offers. But while it is a really great deal overall, there are some areas where Xiaomi has cut costs to reduce the price, so we’re going to talk about that, and we’re also going to compare it with Amazon’s Firestick 4K, and  Xiaomi’s  own  Mi TV Box 3 to see how good it actually is.

Let’s  get started. In the box, You’ll get the Mi TV Box 4 itself, the Bluetooth remote, an HDMI cable which is great to have, and finally the power adapter. The design of the Mi TV Box 4 is pretty simple and minimal, and I do like that a lot. Unlike the previous version which was more rounded, the newer box has a flatter design with sharper edges. On its back, you’ll find a port for power, an HDMI 2.0b port, a USB 2.0 port, and finally an audio jack which supports both analog and digital audio out, which is pretty cool. You also have a very muted white LED on front which lets you know if it’s awake or sleeping. The great thing about having both analog and digital audio out is that not only you can just plug in a 3.5mm jack and connect any headphone or speaker system, you can also use a mini tos link cable to connect it to an advanced audio system or DAC to get a much higher quality audio. The setup is very simple, you have to just plug it to your TV or receiver with HDMI, power it, and follow the instructions on screen. The remote on this newer Mi Box has more buttons and features, but it is actually a cheaper variant of the Mi Remote. While the Mi Box3 had the same remote that came with Mi TV 4, the  Mi TV Box 4’s remote has  Mi TV 4A’sremote design which is cheaper. It has very cheap feeling buttons in comparison, but other than that it works well, and having dedicated buttons for Netflix and Prime Video , along with an app launcher button, and the ability to launch Google assistant and speak to it are some nice to have features.

The Firestick remote feels way more premium in comparison, and the fast forward, backward, and pause buttons are also way more useful then extra buttons on Mi TV Box Remote, and while its power and volume button can control your TV’s volume and power, I actually don’t like this setup because it doesn’t let you control the volume on firestick itself which is really stupid. Now one big difference between  Mi  TV BOX 4and  Firestick  4K is that the  firestick 4K can deliver a 4K 60Hz signal without color compression by delivering a complete 12 bit RGB or YCbCr444 signal, while the Mi TV Box can only deliver an uncompressed signal upto 4K 30Hz, and if you go beyond that at 4K 60hz,the color signal will be compressed to YCbCr420. Now you might not even need to go beyond 4K30Hz, but if you are watching any gaming content on YouTube, or any other content that is shot in 60Hz, or if you just don’t want a terrible experience with an interface that looks choppy, you will need to have a 60Hz signal. RGB signal is essential if you want to use it on a monitor as compressed signal makes text look weird, but most video content you will watch on TV will already be in a YCbCr420 signal, so as far as video content goes, you don’t need to worry about that. But all digitally rendered content on the interface like text, icons, and any games that you might play will look slightly better with a full RGB or YCbCr444 signal. It may not even be noticeable difference, but it is something that firestick 4K does offer.

You can also screencast from your phone on the Mi TV Box, which you can also do on fire stick, but both of these methods deliver very compressed signals to the TV so I never use them. The Mi TV Box supports DTS, and Dolby Audio, and HDR 10 for video, but it doesn’t support Dolby Atmos for audio and it also doesn’t support HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision for video, but the firestick supports all these audio and video formats. Now it may sound like Mi TV Box has a huge disadvantage, but in reality you won’t find many titles that the Mi TV Box doesn’t support, BUT if you have a more advanced setup, or you may upgrade to one in future, then the Firestick  4K will definitely have an upper hand. One definite advantage that the  Mi TV Box has is a USB 2.0 port that will allow you to easily install apps, and watch all the videos that I know you have legally downloaded. It does add a lot of convenience, and while you can also plug in USB drives or accessories to the firestick using a special adapter that also has power, it's a much jankier solution compared to just putting the pen drive indirectly.

The interface on the Mi TV Box is the stockAndroid TV 9.0, and it is pretty good. It has a nice logical layout of elements on screen, and also offers easy access to settings and customization. It also integrates very well with Google services, and the assistant can also help you a lot by syncing with your Google account, so that is really great. Firestick also has similar features with  ALEXA , but Google Assistant is obviously much better. The Playstore on Android TV is superior to Amazon’s appstore , and while you can technically install any app on both as both are android devices, running the stock android TV OS does make it much easier to do everything. So you can watch YouTube, Netflix and Amazon Prime in 4K HDR, which is great, but the app for Amazon Prime isn’t as good as the one on Firestick for obvious reasons, but it's still nice to see Amazon Prime working on a non Firestick System. Coming to the internals, it is kind of disappointing that Xiaomi has the exact same Quad core processor, RAM, and storage as the Mi TV Box 3, it is still powerful enough to handle everything well, but I do feel like a upgrade to the processor would’ve made it perform better, as the Android TV 9.0 could use more processing power to feel more fluid. The CPU on the firestick 4K is significantly faster by 30% though, so it is more expensive because of superior components. You don’t really need a very fast CPU on a media streaming device but there is a definite difference in raw performance. The internal storage is 8GB on both devices, which isn’t much, but you shouldn’t need to install many apps on a TV Box anyways, unless you’re into gaming on TV, which it can actually do, even with the TV Box remote, which could be fun for kids to experiment with.

So overall, I do think that the Mi TV Box4 is a really great purchase for 3500 Rs., it does really have all the features that you need to get a great smart TV experience at 4K, and even with some cost cutting and lack of upgrades to it compared to the previous Mi TV Box, it will be good enough for most people. The stock Android TV experience is great, and it will also allow users to easily watch local content by plugging a pen drive, but this does not completely make Firestick 4K obsolete, as the Firestick 4K supports some extra audio and video formats that will be useful for you if you have an advanced home theater setup, and it’s price also drops to around 4000 Rs. during sales. So that was it, let me know which of these you like more in the comments section  below. Subscribe , follow and share this blog also you can follow our FB page for timely updates .

Why do chinese phone companies launch new brands...?

Hey, Guys have been ever wondered, Why does Xiaomi need a second brand? In fact, why do all major Chinese smartphone makers have multiple brands? . Our story begins and ends with Xiaomi. The company completely changed the Chinese smartphone market in 2011.When it launched with its crazy, online only business model that focused on cutting out the middle men, not keeping any inventory, and selling phones with razor thin margins. Traditional phone makers like Oppo and Huawei, who have to give their offline retail partners often over 50% margins to sell their phones, simply couldn't compete with this model. Offline retail is expensive, so seeing Xiaomi's rise, they had to react. And they both came up with pretty much the same solution.

Step 1: Launch an online brand which replicates most of Xiaomi's business model and offers similarly aggressive prices. After all, the Xiaomi model was innovative, but not exactly hard to copy.

Step 2: Double down on offline retail with the Oppo and Huawei brands.

After all, even with Xiaomi's success, the majority of people still bought their phones offline even in China, the most e-commerce focused country in the world. Online and offline retail had to be split into two brands, because they're such wildly different businesses. It costs a lot more to sell offline, so you need higher prices. But those high prices don't work well online with competitors like Xiaomi around. Hence, the need for two separate brands. The offline brands got the premium features first like how Vooc fast charging was on Oppo phones for two years before it arrived to OnePlus as Dash charge, or how Huawei phones got duo cameras, Bleica partnerships, and the newest Korean processors, before the honor models got them and so on. The offline brands also received much more premium marketing to turn them into fashionable, lifestyle brands all of which combined, were supposed to justify the higher price tags. In the meanwhile, the online brands had much more bare-bones devices that focused on having the best possible price to performance ratio. Buying online, better specs nearly always win as direct comparisons are very easy to make. And this plan, worked!  Xiaomi was suddenly threatened online and had nothing to fight back with offline. The meteoric rise of Xiaomi was not only stopped, the company's sales actually started shrinking.

Both Oppo and Huawei overtook Xioami in China and even Xiaomi's expansion abroad, especially to Brazil and India, started faltering too. Xiaomi had to do something. So just like the offline guys figured they could just go online, Xiaomi figured that they could just go offline. They just needed to find a way to undercut the offline brands on price significantly. Which, they did. Instead of having a separate online and offline brand like Oppo and Huawei had, they decided to stick with just one at first, and found ways to make more money outside of selling phones. Se, Oppo and Huawei make money primarily from selling phones. Xiaomi, though, doesn't. They sell phones  at cost, or even at a loss, and rely on making money on internet services. I made a whole video explaining this business model that you can see right here. And on top of that, Xiaomi stores don't only sell phones, but also lots of other items, too, like rice cookers, electric scooter thingies, power banks and so on, which a network of companies supplies them with, all under the Xiaomi brand. They make money from those too, which means that, unlike Oppo and Huawei, Xiaomi could keep their offline phone prices relatively low without hurting their online sales model too much. This diversification really worked for Xiaomi, as they're now back to the same insane growth numbers that they had before their streak was broken. One segment that they were especially successful in is the crucially important, 10 to 20 thousand rupees segment in India, the largest smartphone market after China. This is the most important smartphone segment in India, which is why companies developed their best bang for buck devices for it, like Xiaomi's Redmi phones, Oppo's F Series phones, Nokia's newly announced 5.1 and 6.1 devices, Samsung's J Series, and many others. And so far, Xiaomi's aggressive prices, combined with their focus on both online and offline retail channels, has made the Redmi the biggest winner in it. Which brings us to RealMe, Oppo's direct response to Redmi. Oppo, who lost significant market share in India to Xiaomi since its comeback, assigns Sky Li, formerly the head of Oppo India, to win back this crucially important segment from Xiaomi, and many of Oppo's best people were moved over there, showing not only its importance to Oppo, but also that, after spinning up OnePlus, the company has become an expert at creating new brands. Now, you might wonder, why not just have OnePlus launch a phone in this category. After all, they are supposed to be the bang for buck online brand of Oppo. But, there are a few difficulties with that. Oneplus just isn't a budget smartphone brand anymore, as they have slowly increased their prices from around 300 USD you all the way to over 500 now. They don't want to be seen as an ultra budget phone maker anymore. They want to make a profit selling phones, and the aren't all that "online only" either. The sell through carriers in Finland and the UK, and a couple of other countries by now as well. They've also tried launching a mid-range phone, the OnePlus X a few years ago, and they themselves admitted that it wasn't well received by fans. So, OnepLus is now focused on creating a premium flagship for enthusiasts, while RealMe can focus on beating Redmi. Which brings us to the Poco phone. My guess is that, As Ash from C4E Tech has said, Xiaomi's realized that using the same brand for both online and offline channels has, over time, started to limit Xiaomi, and that they wanted to create a device that can be ultra competitive by making it online only. They have also probably realized that Oneplus raising their prices gets Xiaomi a pretty big opening to significantly undercut them. After all, Oneplus has to make a profit from selling phones while Xiaomi doesn't. It's clear looking at the Poco launch event that they are pitching this phone directly against Oneplus, who makes up the bulk of flagship smartphone sales together with Samsung in India, and who is growing very quickly, giving Xiaomi a real headache. If things go well, Poco will be to Xiaomi what OnePlus is to Oppo, an even more competitive, even more bang for buck brand for enthusiasts. Launching multiple brands gives a company the ability to target completely different users that wouldn't be available to them if they only had one brand. Just think of Oppo and OnePlus. Hardcore smartphone enthusiasts tend to sneer at Oppo's selfie campaigns, while people who love fashion and luxury would probably want to have something more fancy than a OnePlus. Having both lets Oppo reach both groups. And, as the smartphone market matures, I totally expect to see more multi-brand companies in the future, just like we've seen in other consumer facing industries like cars and clothes as well. Fun fact: Did you know that OnePlus didn't own the oneplus.com domain name until about a year or two ago.So, that’s all if you have some other information then do share Write it down in the comments if you have some blog ideas or review request /suggestion for jack4techs And don’t forget  to follow & hit that subscribe button.

Best Mobiles to buy upto 25000/-

1.Realme X3

The Realme X3 is right now the most affordable flagship with a Snapdragon 855+ under its hood. The realme X3 has a 6.6 inch LCD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, unlike the realme x2 which has 90Hz amoled display. The Realme X3 looks like most of the produce by realme, having a Glass front made of Gorilla Glass 5, glass back, and a plastic frame in between. Adding to the weight, it has a 4200 mAh battery with 30W fast charger in the box. It can charge up the phone in about 50 minutes. As mentioned earlier, the Realme x3 is powered by Snapdragon 855+ processor, paired with Adreno 640 GPU. The 855+ chipset is built of speed and performance. It offers 15% faster graphics rendering than the snapdragon 855. Qualcomm claims that this chipset is at least three times more powerful than snapdragon 845. The main difference between the Realme X3and the SuperZoom editon is the telephoto camera. The Realme X3 has a quad camera setup on the back, featuring a 64-megapixel primary sensor, a 12MP telephoto sensor, an8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front the phone has a dual camera module of 16MP primary sensor with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, which is placed inside the punch hole display. The variant with 6gb of ram and 128gb of storageis priced at rupees 24,999 ,it can go upto 26,000 for the 8gb version. Realme offer the phone in two colors, blue and white. I would love to see some more color options added for this device in the future. So, consider buying this phone, if you want amazing cameras, smooth displays and want to enjoy hours of lag free gaming. The redmi K20 pro, aka the flagship killer2.0, is still one of the best phones to purchase in September 2020. With a huge 6.39 inch Amoled display and a pixel density of 403 ppi, this phone has one of the finest display. Also, if you have good knowledge about phones, you can upgrade the refresh rate from 60Hz to 75Hz, which is not much though.

2.Redmi K20 Pro

The Redmi K20 Pro has a sandwich design with Gorilla Glass 5 at the front and back and a metal frame in the middle which give the smartphone an elite look. Like the redmi 7 and note 8 this phone packs in a 4000mah battery with 27W fast charging support. However, xiaomi ships only an 18w charger with the box. The main feature of this phone is the chipset. The K20 pro comes with snapdragon 855 chipset combined with Adreno 640 gpu. The 855 chipset is very popular among most of the flagship devices like the Asus 6z, Oneplus 7 and even the Xiaomi black shark2. Even the most demanding games like Pubg mobile,Call of duty and even Broken Age will run without lag or stutter, as the chip glidesthrough them like it is some sort of child’s play. The Redmi K20 Pro has a triple camera setupat the back. The primary camera uses a 48-megapixel SonyIMX586 sensor, which is backed up by a couple of 13 and 8mp lens for wide-angle and zoomedin photos without compromising the quality. For people who love to get immersed in a displaywith no notches, the k20 pro offers a perfect solution. The phone has a motorized pop selfie camerawith a 20mp lens. The 6gb ram and 128gb of storage model ispriced at 24,999 at both amazon and flipkart, it can go upto 30,000 for higher variants. The phone is available in a lot of colorslike the Carbon black, Flame red, Glacier blue, Summer Honey and Pearl White. The K20 pro is priced very aggressively andoffer a tough competition for one plus and asus. If you are planning to buy an affordable flagship, the redmi k20 pro should be your choice.

3.Vivo V19

Vivo is known for its cameras, and the vivoV19 is no different. It offer a quad camera setup which we willdiscuss about later on in the video. For now lets start with the display, the smartphone packs a massive 6.44-inch super amoled display which supports full HD+ resolution. V19 has a sandwich design with gorilla glass6 on both the sides with a plastic frame which makes the smartphone look more premium. Despite packing in a 4500 mah battery, the phone weigh much lower than any other smartphone on this list. The icing on the cake is the 33W fast charging support that charges the phone completely in 1 hour and 15 minutes. The V19 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon712 processor coupled up with adreno 616 gpu. The Snapdragon 712 SoC isn't very powerful but it is efficient. You might think, the snapdragon 712 is underpowered but once you buy it you wont regret it. The rear camera placement is similar to some of the Samsung’s A series of smartphones. The device sports a quad-camera set up on its rear with a 48MP primary camera. Supporting the primary camera is an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and two similar 2MP lenses with depth-sensing feature and a macro sensor. What you get at the front are dual selfie cameras featuring a 32-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel super wide-angle camera inside a punchhole display. On the realme X3 you get to see the camera on the right, but on this phone it’s the complete opposite. The loss of a powerful chipset is compensated by an 8gb of ram. Both the variants of Vivo v19 offer 8gb of ram, one with 128gb of storage is priced at rupees 24,990 and the other at 28,000. The V19 is available in 2 colors Silver and Black.

Verdict : If you are planning to buy a new smartphone, you would assume you have to pay more to get better specs, in some cases that might be true. So, these are couple of smartphones which are far more valuable than their actual price. Not all smartphones are created the same way, some of them offer better performance while others do well in different aspects

The Vivo V19 doesn't have a very powerful processor, but if want a phone with excellent cameras with a bit of gaming, the V19 should be your only option.

On the other hand, if you want a gaming device, buy the realme x3 or redmi k20 pro. There are quite a few smartphones which didn’tmake its way into the list, but they are worth mentioning, like the Samsung galaxy a70, oneplus Nord and the Xiaomi poco X2.

Review by jack : OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z

Bullets Wireless Z are fairly standard-looking neckband style wireless earphones. In fact, they look almost identical to the Bullets Wireless 2 with an all-black body, smooth matte finish and glossy earbuds. However, unlike the metal casing for the buds on its predecessors, you get a plastic shell here. The OnePlus branding is subtle and easy to miss. The only hint of colour here is on the inline control module that has red ‘+’ and ‘-‘ symbols on the buttons, and you get a bit more red behind the translucent silicone eartips. The rubberised neckband feels skin-friendly.

It has volume control keys and a multifunctional button that can be used to play/pause tracks, answer/end calls, jump to the next track (double click) and go to the previous track (triple click). A Type-C USB port is placed on the left battery module along with a pairing/quick switch button that lets you pair these earphones with the source Bluetooth device, or switch between two devices it is paired with — quite a handy feature, that. The earbuds have magnetic tips at the back that act as a power On/Off switch for this device (Off when stuck together, and On when separated), something common to all OnePlus Bullets Wireless earphones. Just make sure they do not accidentally separate when you don’t wish to use them, else the battery will drain unnecessarily.

Unlike the multi-driver setup on the Bullets Wireless 2, you get a single 9.2 mm dynamic driver in each of the buds. That’s one way to keep the selling price down to a third. The Bullets Wireless Z aren’t compliant with Qualcomm’s AptX or AptX HD codecs either. You have to make do with AAC at best. Another thing missing here is the red OnePlus carry pouch (or any pouch to carry them in), such as the one that is bundled with its predecessors. But frankly, I was never too fond of it, and its absence wasn’t felt.

The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z are quite light and weigh just 28 grams; you barely feel their presence around your neck. The in-ear monitors fit nicely into the ear without any discomfort with medium sized tips (in my case), and they do not pop out even during jogs. But the passive noise isolation wasn’t all that great with either of the three pairs of bundled eartips. A lot of ambient noise can be heard even in a not-so-noisy surrounding. The seal should have been better than this.

I already gave away a part of what you can expect from the performance of this device in the intro. To quickly recap, its audio output doesn’t match its predecessors, but nor does its price. The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z are priced at half of what the first Bullets Wireless were at launch, and a third of what the Bullets Wireless 2 sell for. With that out of the way, we can now simply treat these as a pair of wireless earphones priced under Rs 2,000 in 2020, and judge them accordingly.

First things first, they are quite loud and produce ample bass that’s fairly tight. Though bassheads will be delighted with this pair, it is a bit more than ideal. Excess bass does impact the midrange frequencies, and that’s the case here too. The mids feel a bit recessed, and while the vocals are reproduced pretty well, the instrument separation is not. That’s not unusual in headphones available in this budget.

. The voice doesn’t feel boomy or tinny, and is close to what you get when using the phone microphone. However, you need to bump up the loudness a fair bit to hear the person on the line clearly. Noise cancellation isn’t the best here and a bit of ambient noise can be heard when using these earphones outdoors. But it’s not a deal breaker.

The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z claims a battery life of 20 hours, and it delivers on the promise. In fact it does a tad better under a standard usage scenario. After using the earphones for approximately three hours daily, they lasted just over a week, thus clocking in excess of 21 hours of total play time before I had to charge them again. The volume level was around 70 percent during the course of my testing.
